Personal Profile



Professor  Augustine  Ehijeagbon Akhidime was  born in February 20, 1954 at  Sabongidda-Ora of Edo State, Nigeria. He has to date a combined post-graduation work experience of  more 36 years. He had full time employment  in the industry and rose to the position of Assistant General Manager and Secretary to the Board of Directors in 1994. He was in full time private professional practice as Principal Consultant/Partner in Financial, Human Resource  Management,  Consultancy outfits  and Licensed Audit Firm respectively. Though on full time lecturing employment,  he still offers finance, management, human resource development consultancies  with   research capacity-building services  to business organisations and government establishments  within the allowable  limits of  the terms of his employment.

His lecturing debut began  on  part-time basis as Associate Lecturer in 2003 at the National Open University of Nigeria. He had his  postgraduate education that earned him MBA, MSc. and  Ph.D  degrees alongside his full time work engagements. Prof. Akhidime started his full- time University Lecturing at the Western Delta University, in 2009 and later joined the academic services of Benson Idahosa University, Benin City in 2011 and was appointed a full Professor in October 1, 2018. The  courses he has lectured at the undergraduate and graduate/postgraduate  levels in Nigerian Universities include: Financial Accounting, Auditing & Investigation, Forensic accounting, Tax and Tax planning, Advanced Costing, International Accounting, Research Methodology, Public Sector Accounting, Corporate governance, and Human Resources/Manpower Development. He has to his credit about 40 publications in national and international Journals, and also  member of  the Editorial board the of national and International Journals.

Prof. Akhidime has the  Midas touch that successfully  unlocks financial and  management deadlocks due to his ability to uniquely  integrate academic theories with contemporary research outcomes, and business management  principles  to synegistically  produce  value added best outcomes.
